#303 BYU Cougars +2
2-Units (7:00 P.M. CST) (Versus)

Everyone seems to be overlooking a very obvious factor in this match up between BYU and TCU in a nationally televised game on the Versus Network. What is that factor you ask? BYU has a very good defense! Yes BYU! What I have heard all week is that TCU has the number one ranked total defense, allowing 207 yards a game. Everyone seems to be overlooking a BYU defense that is ranked 2nd nationally in points allowed(10.2), trailing only USC. Even more impressive is the fact that BYU has allowed a total of 17 points over its last 4 games, pitching shut outs in two of them. The BYU offense is putting up 450 yards of offense a game, with the majority(320) coming through the air. TCU on the other hand gets most of their yardage by grinding it out on the ground with a solid run game, and a couple of quarterbacks that are mobile, and tend to hurt teams when out in space. TCU held a very good Oklahoma offense to only 25 yards rushing, but lost the game. How could this happen? Easily! Oklahoma abandoned the run when they realized they could move the ball through the air, amassing over 400 passing yards. So how will BYU be able to move the ball if they are not able to establish a run game? They will PASS THE BALL! Max Hall has thrown for 20 touchdowns to just 4 interceptions on the season, and is one of the best pure passers TCU will face this season. Both teams have a +9 turnover margin, and tend to take care of the ball. The team that turns the ball over tonight may end up losing tonight's game. Recent success with turnovers favors BYU, as TCU has turned the ball over 6 times in their last 3 games, while BYU has turned the ball over twice in their last 3 games. This should be an exciting game, but look for a solid performance from a BYU team that has won 5 of the last 6 matches between these schools.

Take the BYU Cougars +2 for 2-Units!

Thanks and Good Luck

#131 Utah (23.5) @Wyoming ~ 3 Units

Hey guys, my name is Scott Barnett. I've recently become a handicapper for South Coast Sports and I look forward to helping you all out with picks and plays in the future.

I am loving this game. Utah is nationally ranked at 13 and is only giving up 170 yards total offense on the road this year. Now going up against Wyoming who has been shutout twice (by BYU and NM) and only scored 3 against Air Force. The Cowboys are averaging only 9 points a game whether its at home or on the road. They just can't seem to get their offense going. Last year in Salt Lake City, the Utes stomped Wyoming with a blistering 50-0 final score.

Utah is 5-2 against the spread vs a team with a losing record while Wyoming is 6-20-1 against the spread in their last 27 games overall! Now I will say this, the weather in Laramie, WY this Saturday has a 40% chance of precipitation with a high of 39 degrees but this isn't anything Utah hasn't accustomed themselves to already. Right now, at this very moment (Friday the 10th @ 2:27pm CST) in Salt Lake City, Utah, the temperature is 42 degrees and falling. A little cold weather or possible snow isn't going to stop these boys at all.

I don't do Over/Unders but I will give my opinion on this one. With a 40% chance of rain on the same day it is scheduled to be 39 degrees or less, it may snow and the game's normal scoring value may drop a bit. The O/U is currently 43.5 and I'm predicting this game to be a final score of 34 to 7.
