Tonight's game should be another high scoring affair between Florida Atlantic and Memphis. Both teams are very capable of putting up points in a hurry, while both defenses give them up in bunches!!! Quarterback Martin Hankins will be looking to hook up with Carlos Singleton, while Florida Atlantic Signal Caller Rusty Smith will be looking for Gent Cortez. Under Schnellenberger's tutelage, Smith has thrown
for 27 touchdowns and only 7 interceptions. Charles Pierre who averages 4.6 yards per rush, will be able to keep the Memphis defense honest, while Smith continues to work the Florida Atlantic Magic that has seen them appear in their first bowl game!!! Looking at the schedules, the toughest team that Memphis faced all season may have been the Ole Miss Rebels, who beat them 21-23 to open the season. Florida Atlantic lost to Oklahoma St, Kentucky, South Florida, and Florida. What do all these teams have in common???? They are all in Bowl games. Even though Florida Atlantic lost each of these games, they were in a couple of them late in the games, and will have no problem matching up with one of the worst Defensive teams in the nation!!!

NFL Football Play from Southcoast Sports!!!

I have to think we are getting a little line value here today!!! Everyone would have you believe that if Miami is going to get a win this season,,,this has to be the game!!! They said the same thing a couple of weeks when the Dolphins played the Jets!!! The result was a 40-13 drubbing by the Jets. Then their last chance was to get a win was over the lowly Bills, the result??? A 38-17 Pasting by the Bills over the Dolphins!!! So, this is really the last chance for the Dolphins to get a win,,,Come on spare me the crying, whining, they are gonna get it done bullcrap...THE DOLPHINS ARE A BAD TEAM!!! PERIOD!!! They have given up nearly 40 points a game over the last two weeks to two of the worst teams in the NFL!!! Is Baltimore a Great Team??? NOOOO, but they are playing more solid football than the Dolphins, and has anybody ever stopped to think, that maybe the Ravens don't wont to be the only team the Dolphins Beat this year!!! Trust me, Baltimore will not make the playoffs this year,,,but they do have something to play for!!! Baltimore just played the best teams in the NFL,,in back to back games. They played New England to the final minutes of the game,,,but as a result suffered a letdown against the Colts. Now they get a chance to make sure that the Dolphins stay winless on the season!!!

NCAA Basketball Play from Southcoast Sports!!!

The line is just where I expected it to be on this game. N.C. Charlotte has impressive wins over Southern Illinois, Davidson, Wake Forest, and Appalachian St., all solid basketball schools with known reputations!!! Hofstra was a force to be reckoned with last year, making it to the 3rd round of the NIT!!! This year has been a whole new story in the making. Hofstra has struggled to a 1-5 record with losses to Holy Cross, St. Francis N.Y., and Stony Brook, teams that Hofstra is expected to and should beat on a normal basis.
Hofstra will struggle with this N.C. Charlotte team that strives off of the defensive side of the ball, allowing opposing teams to hit only 35% of their shots in their last 5 contests. Charlotte has been slow out of the gates in nearly all their games, but Head Coach Bobby Lutz is great at making halftime adjustments, and having his team perform very well after the intermission!!! Hofstra has allowed their last 3 opponents to hit 48% of their field goals, and I see nothing changing in this matchup!!! 3- Points will be no problem for N.C. Charlotte to cover!!!
